Nuclear Issue

It was the last days of the administration of US President Dwight Eisenhower. On December 13, 1960, "Time" magazine alerted the world: Israel was secretly building an atomic bomb. The commotion was big; nobody wanted to know anything about it. Had Eisenhower not always pronounced himself against a nuclear power in the Middle East? The international community and the parliaments were systematically lied to. The truth is that already in 1960, Western governments knew about the Israeli nuclear project. They had authorized and supported the construction of this weapon of mass destruction. The Israeli atomic bomb was built with German money and German technology, developed during World War II - in the name of the "Führer" Adolf Hitler. Their knowledge was put at the service of Israel since the late nineteen fifties. The heavy water came from Norway, where the Nazis had produced it during the war. The uranium was supplied, with the consent of the United States, by the Argentine Atomic Commission, which was created after 1945 with the assistance of Nazi scientists.

On July 14, 2015, Iran and the six powers that had negotiated with Tehran about its nuclear program since 2006 (the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, and Germany—collectively known as the P5+1) finalized a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The JCPOA required constraints that seek to ensure that Iran’s nuclear program can be used for purely peaceful purposes in exchange for a broad lifting of U.S., European Union (EU), and United Nations (U.N.) sanctions on Iran. The agreement replaced the Joint Plan of Action (JPA), an interim nuclear accord in effect from 2014 to 2016.

The Mossad agents moving in on a warehouse in a drab commercial district of Tehran knew exactly how much time they had to disable the alarms, break through two doors, cut through dozens of giant safes and get out of the city with a half-ton of secret materials: six hours and 29 minutes.

In 2015, the previous administration joined with other nations in a deal regarding Iran’s nuclear program.  This agreement was known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA. In theory, the so-called “Iran deal” was supposed to protect the United States and our allies from the lunacy of an Iranian nuclear bomb, a weapon that will only endanger the survival of the Iranian regime.  In fact, the deal allowed Iran to continue enriching uranium and, over time, reach the brink of a nuclear breakout.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a special presentation Monday evening documenting what Israeli intelligence says is proof of a clandestine Iranian nuclear program. "Iran did not come clean on its nuclear program," Netanyahu said, saying more than 100,000 Iranian documents obtained by Israel prove the JCPOA nuclear "deal is based on lies."

On March 21, 2018, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) concluded the 2018 Article IV consultation[1] with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Following a strong rebound in the aftermath of the 2016 nuclear agreement, real GDP growth is expected to reach 4.3 percent in 2017/18. In the first half of 2017/18, recovery broadened to the non-oil sector, aided by supportive fiscal and monetary policies and a recovery in construction and services activity. The unemployment rate declined to 11.7 percent in the first half of 2017/18, but remained particularly high for youth and women. Inflation averaged 9.9 percent during the first 11 months of 2017/18 aided by moderation in food prices and stable administered prices. The foreign exchange market experienced volatility in early 2018; following the increase in interest rates in February, the spread between the official and the market rate narrowed to under 20 percent.
